Winterhold Restored - An Overview

Winterhold is a major city located in skim, in the Reach in the province of Hjaalheim. In vanilla skim, Winterhold is one of the three main cities and is the capital of the Throatlands, being the seat of House of Winterhold. This mod restores Winterhold to its original state, adds new buildings/player homes/marriable NPCs and removes the ruined buildings in Winterhold. This is the most complete version of Winterhold, with lots of detail and immersion.

Winterhold Restored features many new features and is designed to be completely seamless and lore-friendly. It also removes the ruined buildings in Winterhold, adds a new Breathing Stone and a waterfall as well as allied ruins, Shalidor's Tower and the crypts of Uraggra. The most notable feature is the integration of vanilla gameplay with the rest of the overhaul, providing a true co-op play experience. You can seamlessly travel between Winterhold, Solitude and Whiterhall, using the same roads as you do during your main game quest. There are also lots of hidden treasures and rewards waiting for players to find them!

This mod adds lots of things to the game, like new cities, new sling stones, new books, new recipes, new songs, new items, new boss battles, and more. Some of these things may not be necessary for you if you've already played the game enough, but it would still be nice to experience the whole thing in one go, with lots of time and effort put into it. The image credits used for the various stages are also quite nice, giving an indication of where to find something useful when you're not actively playing the game.
